Jenny attended the University of Maryland, where she was her department’s valedictorian, and received her master’s degree from the University of Colorado. A brief stint teaching art in an under-resourced charter school showed Jenny the power of philanthropy, and led her to pursue a career in advancement. Jenny served as the Development Director at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, Development Officer at Pikes Peak Community College Foundation, and founding Philanthropy Director at Children’s Hospital Colorado, Colorado Springs. In 2020, she and a partner founded Spur Philanthropy, a management firm for family foundations. Through her company, she serves as a philanthropic advisor to both the John and Margot Lane Foundation and the Bloom Foundation, and is the Director of the GE Johnson Foundation. As a volunteer, she is a trustee of the Nutrition Camp Foundation, and previously served as board chair of both the Pikes Peak Therapeutic Riding Center and the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region.
