Tom Kite's career as a golfer showcases both his huge talent and his Texas roots. Kite began golfing at the age of 6 and went on to play for The University of Texas, learning under legendary coach Harvey Penick. Kite has won 19 PGA Tour victories since turning pro in 1972.
