Through intriguing storytelling and stunning photography, viewers find out about the people, plants, animals and archaeology of arid regions throughout the New World. "The Desert Speaks" was produced for 19 seasons, and continues to air today.

Patagonia's Glacial Landscape

Host David Yetman and archeologist Maria Jose Figuerero make their way through the Patagonia landscape. Part of the trip is made on horseback along the Chilean/Argentine border, taking time to observe the graceful Andean condor. They observe a local folklore performance group in Calafate, the gateway to Glacier National Park. The highlight of the trip is a look at the park’s magnificent glaciers.
