Babe Zaharias (1911 – 1956) was, and still is, regarded as one of the greatest female athletes of all time. Babe received her nickname in childhood when she hit five home runs in a childhood baseball game. She participated and was proficient in 13 different and unique sports, setting world, national, and/or Olympic records in seven unique sports.
