Doreen Pollack (1921 – 2005) was a true pioneer in the hearing loss community. She came to the US in 1948, ultimately settling in Denver in 1951. Her method for teaching deaf children to listen and talk has been ”heard” around the world. She pioneered fitting children, as young as babies, with hearing devises that would assist them to learn listening and the spoken language.
