Arts District - Denver photography exhibit combines identity

A weekly magazine show devoted to arts and culture stories from around Colorado and across the country. Produced and curated by Rocky Mountain PBS, “Arts District” spotlights an array of visual arts, performing arts, music and cultural events, with behind-the-scenes interviews with artists who may be well-known or whose creativity is just being discovered.

Denver photographer Thomas “Detour” Evans and Paul Hamilton, a collector of African art collaborate for “They Still Live,” an exhibit exploring African American identity; a rare look at Picasso’s sculpture (said to be inspired by African art); in Ohio kids flock to learn hip-hop dancing techniques at the Funk Lab; and in Florida a famous brewery in the Keys builds a new following with its murals.
