Denver native Emanuel Martinez landed in jail for minor offenses when he was a teenager but says finding his talent in art changed his life. He apprenticed with Mexican muralist David Siqueiros, was the first in Denver given permission to paint large-scale murals in public places, and became an activist for social justice.
