Over 12 million Africans were kidnapped and sold into slavery with 10 percent dying en route.The series tracks the efforts of Diving with a Purpose (DWP), as they search for and locate six slave ships that went down with their human cargo. It’s a story of brutality and inhumanity, but also of resistance, accomplishment and hope.

Shot on location in Costa Rica, Jamaica, Ethiopia and the United States, this episode explores music, food and science.
