Ronaldo Cruz, a 49-year-old designer and florist, has been a top 10 finalist in the Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Contest for years. This year, he won the $10,000 grand prize. Ronaldo learned to sew in the Philippines, making gowns of waste materials and creating pageant dresses before coming to the United States in 2003 and eventually gaining his citizenship.
