Denver curfew remains in place from 9PM to 5AM

A curfew has been extended through Thursday in Denver. The curfew was initiated by Denver Mayor Hancock on Saturday after several demonstrations became violent on Friday night.

On Saturday night, three Denver Police officers and a civilian were purposely hit by a car. Two of the officers have been released from the hospital. Denver Police Chief Pazen said on Sunday the car had been located.

DPD Officers arrested 83 people for curfew violations Saturday night. They say some of the people arrested had additional charges for throwing Missiles, damaging property and having prohibited weapons. The photograph is of a weapon recovered.

Also on Sunday, volunteers showed up downtown to help clean up graffiti and damage to city buildings. People are invited to help with the cleanup on Monday morning at 8AM in Civic Center Park.

Over the past three days, there have also been peaceful protests. People protesting the death of George Floyd. A police officer has been arrested in Floyd's death.
