Kirby Witten-Smith has been with Rocky Mountain Public Media since 2016, working on the revenue side in corporate fundraising, Membership, Foundations & Grants and Major and Planned Giving, as well as supporting the organization’s audience data. He currently serves as CRO for RMPM where he is focused on revenue sustainability and growth for the organization. Kirby came to RMPM after a few years working in media research, and prior to that spending three years in fundraising at New Mexico PBS in Albuquerque, NM. He has a passion for this work that started at a young age with his father who worked as a producer for PBS in Louisiana. This helped to inspire him to pursue a graduate degree with a focus on public media at the University of New Mexico where his research focus was on sustainable fundraising models for revenue development at PBS stations. In his role Kirby is working to build inclusive and innovative ways to engage our donors and partners with RMPBS, KUVO Jazz and The Drop. His support of RMPM’s audience insights and data infrastructure is helping the organization reach new audiences to connect more closely with our communities across the state.
