Adrian O'Farrill
Adrian O’Farrill is a multimedia journalist at Rocky Mountain PBS. Based in Denver, he covers a broad range of topics from local and state politics to environmental, immigration, and community stories. Adrian joined Rocky Mountain PBS in May of 2026.
Adrian was born and raised in Tampa, Florida, and remains a loyal Rays, Buccaneers, and Lightning fan, although he’s willing to root for the local Denver teams.
As a Cuban-American, he enjoys connecting with Hispanic communities and identifying potential gaps in local reporting.
Before moving to Denver, Adrian lived and studied in New York City, graduating with a Master’s in Journalism from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY, concentrating in international reporting. While in graduate school, he served as president of the photo club.
During the summer of 2025, he was a reporting fellow at the Tucson Sentinel, photographing and covering stories across Southern Arizona from congressional elections to border policy, and the local space industry.
Before his journalism career, Adrian was a commercial photographer and cinematographer. He ran a freelance business for eight years, working as a camera operator and assistant camera on film sets and commercials with Tom Brady, and Serena and Venus Williams to name a few.
When he’s not in the field reporting, you can most likely find Adrian hiking through the Rockies or baking sourdough bread at home.
