Denita Weeks studies diseases that affect amphibians in western Colorado, and she wants science to feel accessible to everyone. To help with both of those goals, she holds “bullfrogs for beers” collection events every summer, where volunteers catch invasive bullfrogs and turn them in for a coupon for a local brewery.
