Following in the footsteps of Nashville Public Television's previous two multi-year, socially engaged and award-winning projects, Next Door Neighbors and NPT Reports: Children's Health Crisis. Aging Matters is a major multi-year initiative designed to open a community-based conversation about what Middle Tennessee's older citizens need to optimize their quality of life.

Just over half of all seniors have had at least one civil legal problem in the last year and 87 percent of older adults seeking legal assistance had difficulty finding or affording it. Yet benefits and resources available to older adults are underutilized.
