This series features three fifth-grade detectives - Millie, Mike and Marta - as they solve the never-ending mysteries of the fictional small Arkansas town of Mulberry Springs.

The local paper has reprinted the well-known legend of the town’s founder LaFayette Matlock’s buried treasure. The detectives set out solving riddles and learning about maps to find the gold, but quickly learn that what is ordinary to one person might be another person’s treasure.
