Bathsheba Everdene is a beautiful and proud woman with a fiercely independent spirit. Uncertain of her future but unwilling to sacrifice her freedom, young Bathsheba rejects the proposal of dependable Gabriel Oak, only to become his employer after a cruel twist of fate.
