At the Renkins’ house, George learns that pickles are cucumbers, and he sets off to make his own. / George’s astronomer friend, Mr. Griggs, is about to photograph a comet hitting Mars using his new telescope. When Mr. Griggs steps away, Compass the pigeon and George knock the telescope off course.
