RMPBS KIDS Connect: Did Someone Say Tasty Treat?

Yummy Snacks for Sunny Days Ahead

We’ve enjoyed the warmer days here in Colorado lately, even if they’re still followed by some cold ones too. As we bask in the sunshine and warmth, we’re sharing Mom Tiger’s delicious fruity ice pop recipe that everyone in Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood gets to enjoy. This snack takes about 10 minutes to make and four hours to freeze. Help young children learn to measure, pour, follow directions, and practice counting while creating a tasty snack with this recipe. Try different flavors, so everyone can have their favorite!

Celebrating Earth Day animation characters
Did You Celebrate Earth Day This Year?

Celebrated since 1970, April 22 became Earth Day to foster the environmental movement worldwide. Given that we count on Planet Earth as our home every day, we think it’s worth checking out the PBS LearningMedia Celebrate Earth Day collection any time.

We also like to think of every day as an opportunity to find joy and the outdoors is a great place to look! With the young children in your life, inspire them to find fun and messy learning outside by watching our Sesame Street friends Abby and Oscar do the same. With older children, enjoy this Cyberchase garden activity or have fun with Nature Cat’s Seed Soaring digital game.
