If you're a Colorado local or just someone who enjoys good TV that actually makes you think, the RMPBS+ app and website are worth checking out. Honestly, in a world of endless scrolling and subscription overload, it's a nice change of pace. This app is thoughtfully curated, and deeply connected to the community it serves. I’ve discovered a lot of great content, and some of my favorites will be highlighted throughout March. Below are my top three RMPBS+ picks. Fight the Power: How Hip Hop Changed the World

Fight The Power: How Hip Hop Changed The World

Watching this masterpiece brought me back to high school, and hearing Chuck D's voice rattle my understanding of everything I thought I knew about America. This series captures how Public Enemy's sound was as revolutionary as their message. They gave us permission to be political, to question authority, and to see ourselves as part of a larger struggle, all while bobbing our heads to their music. For those of us who lived it, it's a validation. For those who didn't, it's essential history. This is a must watch.

Electric Lady Studios: A Jimi Hendrix Vision

This documentary tells the story of how Hendrix, at the height of his powers in 1970, built his own creative sanctuary in Greenwich Village. What hit me hardest was the footage of Jimi discussing his plans for the studio just months before his death. Also, every musician interviewed speaks about Electric Lady like it's haunted in the best possible way, how spaces matter, and that Jimi Hendrix's influence runs deeper than his legendary guitar work. Essential Viewing.

Wu-Tang Experience: Live at Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Backed by a 60-piece Colorado Symphony Orchestra, Wu-Tang Clan captivated a crowd of roughly 10,000 fans at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in what became one of the most extraordinary concerts Morrison, Colorado has ever witnessed. What elevates this concert film is the unique privilege that I had hosting a live Q&A with director Gerald Barclay. Barclay provided an intimate look into his personal connection with Wu-Tang, the extraordinary brotherhood that binds the group, and their enduring legacy in hip-hop history. The film captures the generational span in the audience: people who wore out their cassettes in the '90s standing beside kids who weren't even born when these albums dropped. That's Wu-Tang's power. Highly Recommended.
