Celebrating RMPBS KIDS Be My Neighbor Day 2026!

Rocky Mountain PBS KIDS hosts Be My Neighbor Day annually to create a space where Colorado families can learn, play, and grow together as caring neighbors.

For the first time in 2026, RMPBS KIDS hosted BMND in two neighborhoods: Southeast Colorado Springs and Globeville and Elyria-Swansea (GES)! This was made possible with the support of Fred Rogers Productions, PNC Grow Up Great, and the Bella Charitable Foundation.

Our BMND activities are inspired by what it means to be a caring neighbor: listening first, looking for the helpers, doing what you can for others, and expressing ourselves. Families enjoyed storytime with Wiz Kid of CSU Spur and the Pikes Peak Library District and participated in a community service project with WeeCycle. They also met local helpers sharing community resources. And, as usual, our Daniel Tiger dance party got everyone moving, grooving, and expressing themselves!

RMPBS KIDS seeks to inspire and educate Colorado families by creating opportunities to explore, celebrate differences, and discover new ways to care for each other. Events like this show how learning, play, and community come to life together!
