It's time to harden off the plants
This weekend, my wife and I started "hardening off" our plants, bringing them outside for certain parts of the day so they can build up tolerance to things like wind and direct sunlight, which they weren't getting indoors.
We're planting several different vegetables this year, including squash, pumpkins, peas and watermelon. But our first love is tomatoes. And I'm really excited about this year's selection.
We've growing some Berkeley Tie-Dye, Black Krim, Striped German, Ananas Noire and several others. The Ananas Noire (which means black pineapple) came recommended by Tracy Weil, who I profiled last year.
If you're growing tomatoes this year, leave a comment below. I'd love to know what varieties you're growing.
