We have experienced a broadcast interruption at our transmitter site that services a large part of Central Southern Colorado. This includes the Salida region as well as the entire San Luis Valley—including Lake George, Coaldale, Del Norte and San Luis. We are actively working to assess the point of failure. Due to high winds and fire danger, transmitters are operating at reduced power and reception may be affected through the weekend. Thank you for your understanding and support! Our live stream is also available online and on the RMPBS+ app.

Fishers Peak State Park

share

The Trust for Public Land, in partnership with the City of Trinidad and The Nature Conservancy, used its Great Outdoors Colorado grants to help Colorado Parks and Wildlife acquire the 19,200-acre Crazy French Ranch property, which includes the 9533-foot summit of Fishers Peak.

The project is a culmination of a two-phase purchase and provides the opportunity to serve as a model for future state parks - one that reflects a unique and synergistic blend of resource conservation, recreation, education, economic benefit, and cultural significance to the City of Trinidad and the State of Colorado.
