Latina entrepreneurs follow their passions during Covid-19

Victoria Garcia is working to inspire and empower fellow Latina entrepreneurs.

At a recent launch party for her organization, Latinas Who Dare, Garcia gathered fellow business owners and entrepreneurial hopefuls to network and support one another.

Garcia’s philosophy is based on capturing the Latina spirit and daring to be brave, especially during challenging times like Covid-19.

“If we can’t adapt and be flexible now, and if we can’t dare ourselves to do the things we want to do now, when are we going to do it?” Garica said.

At the launch party, attendees wore face coverings and shared their businesses with small groups limited to meet public gathering guidelines.

“I think there’s more than enough space for us to enter the business world, there’s more than enough space for us to become entrepreneurs and show the world, and specifically the United States, what we have the capacity to do,” Garcia said.

Her advice for getting started?

“I think being honest with ourselves is probably step one,” Garcia said. “Don’t judge what your interests are, explore them. Ask yourself questions and don’t be scared of the answers.”

Garcia plans to host workshops, events, and networking opportunities in the Denver area.
