We have experienced a broadcast interruption at our transmitter site that services a large part of Central Southern Colorado. This includes the Salida region as well as the entire San Luis Valley—including Lake George, Coaldale, Del Norte and San Luis. We are actively working to assess the point of failure. Thank you for your understanding and support! Our live stream is also available online and on the RMPBS+ app.

A dying wish

share

Miya had one last wish. She wanted to have a drive-by parade. Miya was fighting a brain tumor and was unable to have visitors due to the threat of COVID-19.

The teenager's wish was scheduled to come true this Saturday. Miya passed away Thursday, April 30th.

The 13-year-old was described as funny, strong and caring. She was diagnosed with Anaplastic astrocytoma, a malignant brain cancer, in 2019.

Today the community came together to make Miya's last with some true. Hundreds of cars, motorcyclists, law enforcement officers from across Colorado brought the drive-by parade to her family and friends outside her Thornton home.
