RMPBS KIDS Connect: Black History Month & Groundhog Day
Storytelling & History Make for a Compelling Way to Learn
Is it spring yet?! Or, are we in for six more weeks of winter? As Groundhog Day takes place tomorrow, children in kindergarten through second grade can join Nature Cat and friends in learning about the holiday’s connections to weather and history.
Meanwhile, this PBS LearningMedia collection has lots of interesting stories to explore in the coming days as we celebrate Black History Month! Learn more about NASA mathematician Katherine Johnson (one of the inspiring figures featured in the 2016 feature film, “Hidden Figures,”) or an iconic founding father of hip-hop, Grandmaster Flash. And, engage children in pre-K through kindergarten with Learn Along Bingo featuring Black leaders!
