Rescan your TV

Antenna viewers in Denver, Fort Collins, and Greeley will need to rescan their televisions soon.

If you watch RMPBS by using an antenna, and you live in the Denver Metro, Fort Collins, or Greeley areas, you may need to rescan your television to continue receiving RMPBS over the air due to FCC changes in broadcast technology.

These changes will occur for RMPBS sometime in December, but we do not yet know the exact date. Please continue watching for further updates. We will share the exact date of the rescan as soon as that information is finalized.

When the time comes, rescanning is a simple process. You'll find everything you need to know on this page.

How to Rescan your TV

How to Rescan your TV for RMPBS

  1. Press menu on your remote

  2. Go to the channel setup option

  3. Select antenna or tuner

  4. Start a new scan

Done! Your TV will do the rest. This process usually takes a few minutes to complete.

Once your rescan is complete you will still find your favorite stations on the same channel number as before. If you have rescanning difficulties, you can usually find instructions by selecting the Set-Up or Menu button on your television or converter box remote control.

Still having issues? Consult the TV or converter box owner's manual for detailed instructions on how to run a channel scan, or contact customer service for your TV or converter box manufacturer.
