Colorado Voices: Black in Denver

In 2018, Denver artist Narkita Gold set out on a two-year project to investigate and photograph the different identities and individuality among Denver’s diverse Black community.

In “Black in Denver: Redefining Who We Are,” a few of Narkita’s original interviews are brought to life. In this episode, voices of Denver’s Black community share insights to the Black experience—challenging stereotypes and revealing the colorful spectrum of Blackness.

"Colorado Voices: Black in Denver" aired on Thursday, February 24 at 7 p.m. on Rocky Mountain PBS. You can the full episode below.
