Rey in 1941, will use George's insatiable curiosity as a way of acquainting preschoolers with key concepts in math, science and engineering. © 2009 Rocky Mountain PBS http://www.rmpbs.org/resources/files/programs/100x100/16374.jpg Curious George http://www.rmpbs.org/content/index.cfm/program/16374 100 100 Fri, Nov 20 - Buoy Wonder/Roller Monkey Buoy Wonder - Today is a big day for Bill. He's entering his boat in the Model Boat Show! But George discovers that the boat sinks and to keep Bills hopes for a prize afloat, he decides to build a new boat. After some trial and error, George finds out which building materials sink and which float. Roller Monkey - A monkey on roller skates seems unlikely until Mr. And Mrs. Dulson ask George to wear a pair in front of their toy store to attract customers. George's skating rolls out of control, so Hundley steps in to help. Soon George, Hundley, and even Gnocchi find themselves learning about momentum and inertia at a rapid downhill pace. http://www.rmpbs.org/content/index.cfm/program/16374-104/rss http://www.rmpbs.org/content/index.cfm/program/16374-104/rss Fri, 20 Nov 09 06:30:00 -0700 Fri, Nov 20 - Zeros to Donuts/Curious George, Stain Remover Zeros to Donuts - When George learns about the meaning and power of zero, he is ready to test out his knowledge. The perfect opportunity arises when he's sent to the donut shop for one dozen donuts. But when he adds a couple of zeros, he's surprised to find out he gets one hundred dozen. Now he has to figure out what to do with all those extra donuts before The Man with the Yellow Hat notices. "Curious George", Stain Remover - George spills grape juice on the new rug and needs to figure out a way to clean it up before The Man with the Yellow Hat returns! Too much soap and too much water make matters worse. With the help of the barnyard animals (and some simple engineering), George uses the Renkins' water pump to clean up the mess. http://www.rmpbs.org/content/index.cfm/program/16374-103/rss http://www.rmpbs.org/content/index.cfm/program/16374-103/rss Fri, 20 Nov 09 12:00:00 -0700 Sun, Nov 22 - Zeros to Donuts/Curious George, Stain Remover Zeros to Donuts - When George learns about the meaning and power of zero, he is ready to test out his knowledge. Not to worry, the Man just wrote a book to make people aware that the bird needs assistance. But unfortunately, stores don't want to carry the book because, at 1,400 pages, it looks like a boring scientific tome. Fortunately, George runs into Steve who has lots of idea for promoting his lemonade stand. This prompts George to come up with an idea of his own - paint an empty billboard with a razzle-dazzle picture to help promote the book. Easier said than done and even when done, will it help sell the book and spread the bird word? Juicy George - George has never seen a farmer's market before and finding one on his doorstep is just about the best thing ever - until he drinks Juicy Jay's special blended juice and then that's the best thing ever! When the farmer's market leaves and there's no more juice, the Man with the Yellow Hat and George decide they need their own juicer. As they start to unpack their new purchase, the Man gets called away. A smart monkey can figure out a juicer on his own and recreate the special juice, right? It's certainly not as easy as it seems and certainly not a mess-free process! Although he has a few missteps (amazing how mushed vegetables can fly all the way to the ceiling), George masters the juicer. But will he be able to make the juice he and the Man think is the best ever? http://www.rmpbs.org/content/index.cfm/program/16374-402/rss http://www.rmpbs.org/content/index.cfm/program/16374-402/rss Mon, 23 Nov 09 06:30:00 -0700 Mon, Nov 23 - Buoy Wonder/Roller Monkey Buoy Wonder - Today is a big day for Bill.
