Growing up in a musical family, I remember looking forward to
performing arts series on PBS. From "Dance in America" to "Great
Performances," we'd take our front-row seats and immerse ourselves
completely. It was time away from the mundane – and time well spent
together. This month, we're in full swing with our arts programming. Tonight at 8, we stir up the holiday spirit with the uplifting new program "Celtic Woman: The Greatest Journey: Holiday Special." What arts programs in particular do you value and want to see more of?

Despite my longtime insistence that artists owe us nothing outside their art, I was woefully disappointed to see Bob Dylan shilling Cadillac SUVs .
Maybe I shouldn't be surprised. It's never been easy to predict what Bob will do next. Still, it's odd that a pioneer of counterculture with so many odes to the exploited would casually sell his image to the makers of an opulent gas guzzling machine (or Victoria's Secret, for that matter).
