Wow! We at Rocky Mountain PBS were excited to hear that the Denver area is the nation's fifth largest audience in America for Ken Burns' "The War." In the last few weeks, we've held two public preview screenings of "The War" in Denver and met dozens of Colorado veterans inspired to tell their stories.

On January 17, 2007, award-winning filmmaker Ken Burns visited the Rocky Mountain PBS studios to talk about his new documentary series, "The War." With archival footage and gripping first-hand accounts from veterans and their families, "The War" tells the story of World War II from the perspective of four American towns.

On August 27, 2006, award-winning filmmaker Ken Burns addressed an audience of documentary fans at Pikes Peak Center on the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs campus. Before the program, a group of students and faculty were invited to a Q & A session with Burns.
