A family member of mine recently made a successful comeback from
cancer. A lot of it can be attributed to his good fortune, but I also
think it's because of the exceptional medical care he received. Millions of uninsured Americans are not
nearly as fortunate. "Critical Condition," which aired on Tuesday, documents their struggles. What's your take on health care? Is this an economic problem – or a social or
political one? And what do you hope our next president will do about
it?

The statistics speak for themselves: 47 million Americans are uninsured. Of these, 80% come from working families. Uninsured adults are 4.5 times less likely to receive medical care than the average insured adult. As a result, they are more likely to die prematurely.more »
