A native Englishwoman and member of the Women's Auxiliary Air Force, Barbara Saks spent WWII working in Intelligence at Bletchley Park, the United Kingdom's main top-secret codebreaking establishment. During the Blitz, German pilots bombed her house, leaving only a skeleton frame. Barbara came to America in 1946 to be with her husband.
