On May 26, Ken Burns wowed a crowd of more than 150 urban youth during a Q&A and screening of "The National Parks: This is America," focusing on the contributions of minorities to the history of the national parks system.
Organizations and schools in attendance: Environmental Learning for Kids (ELK), the Colorado Historical Society's Denver Kids program, The Logan School and Loyola Elementary. One student asked how he could become a filmmaker. Another wanted to know how old Ken Burns was when he made his first film. Hear what Burns had to say below.
