It's interesting that in GOOD GRIEF, it seems more open, more echoy than, say, the café in Friends. You don't get the feeling that you're actually in a café like you do in, to use another example, the famous scene from When Harry met Sally. I don't know what makes the difference. I thought the sets were very good, appropriate, complete, and they did have some background actors, too, and the lighting seems good. Maybe it was sound? In When Harry met Sally you feel like you're in a cozy little café. Not so much with GOOD GRIEF. Perhaps GOOD GRIEF wanted to give the feeling of a more empty café to show how the women were struggling to get customers.

Looking forward to tonight for the next episode! Will Victor finally show up? Will Dr. Sad&Depressed hit on Ms. I'mInChargeOfEverything? Will the café dwellers find a life?

WOW. What caught my attention actually is the commercial for Good Grief. I heard a familiar voice singing and when I went to look at the tv, i saw Leanor Ortega and the voice i heard was Keith i believe (not 100% sure) from Five Iron Frenzy and Brave Saint Saturn. After seeing that, i honestly well flipped out having seen and heard some of FIF's band members...
anyway. i hope they won't just be featured in the commercials. :)
this show has honestly made me think for hours. The concepts, the complexity of each customer, everything got me thinking. PLUS i am sort of leaning toward being a producer and i've made films like this but to see yours on tv gave me great encouragement as a young film-maker.
i cannot wait to see the last 3 episodes!! i wish there were more! :)

Wow. Just went and downloaded the album of 'The Autumn Film', because of their haunting song, "Reprieve", from your program. Amazing band.
The show's pretty good. Yeah, the sound and lighting is problematic, but it's gotten better. If you have another season, I'm sure that'll be corrected.
Good stuff, all around. Sad it's only 7 episodes.

Yah! It was okay. I'm taking a class on film, so I'm always going to find something wrong, but it was all right for a first try. Who is this geared toward? The jazz trio (with phantom voices and guitars, lol) seems a little misplaced, but all the other music was fantastic. Is there a season 2? Hopefully someone actually reads these posts and takes some notes.

I agree with a previous writer, this is for a certain audience, not everyone. Should be given a nice home on the web, where it can grow and expand, work out the amateur bugs. The experiment on TV was okay, but I'm now looking forward to return of real PBS calibur programming.

I really couldn't tell if the writing was any good or not, as I was immediately put off by the stiff . . . wooden . . . acting . . . and delivery. Nothing anyone says on this show sounds real -- everyone sounds as if they're reading from a book. Am I to understand professionals are involved with this? I would be embarrassed. Perhaps you could hire someone to teach acting for camera. At the very least, get a coach involved who knows how to coach dialogue so it sounds real. Very disappointing. I was on a local TV show on KBDI-TV-12 for 4 years (Show ran for 11), and we worked hard on our skits and sketches & took some trouble with our acting. Not in evidence on "Good Grief". The Denver Center is just across the street from you guys -- get one of their actors to help you out.

The series has great potential. Was glad to see the characters were of the younger generation. I thought Dill and Dell were the best, they were the most believable, more so than any of the other characters. They added some lightness and fun to the series where no one else seemed to. The chemistry between the two WORKED. Not too impressed some of the other actors, especially the sisters. There should of been more continuity and flow to the show. Overall opinion I thought it was pretty good. Wish there would have been more episodes as to extend the story lines. Just as you started to get into the stories they would switch to someone else which made it a little confusing at times. Hats go off to Dill and Dell they made the show!!!

I have to agree the acting and so-called script left me cold, but the music was good. Maybe these people should drop the "story" part of it and just showcase local musicians.

Need to see more of the show. Music was good. Two college roomies did the best job acting. Dr. was okay, a little over the top at times. Three sisters were so-so

Thought the pieces were too short and choppy. Didn't give enough time for the viewers to observe any kind of development of the characters. The last episode was the best by far. I agree that the two college roomies did a great job. They were difintely the funniest. Made the series worth watching. I also enjoyed the music. Thought the lighting and sound good have been better

Re. the personal attacks policy -- even though these are not posted on the site, they still manage to make their way to my inbox.
Sometimes a wake-up call is needed. I have been lucky enough to have worked with a lot of different people in the business and at different times in my life have made lots of money/was able to support myself through showbiz. You are doing nobody any favors to praise what is not praiseworthy. That is what you do with small children. If you are an adult, you process the criticism to see if it has value & proceed from there. There are an abundance of very good acting coaches in the area who teach acting for camera. I would encourage those involved to avail themselves of this resource, for there is a need to do so. I meant no insult, but called it as I saw.

Peter Johnson is right. This show didn't begin to approach the kind of quality you expect on PBS, and no one should pretend it did. I guess it's nice of the station to give it some broadcast time. But if there's a plan for it to come back at some point, I hope the producers will make the investment to increase the technical and acting quality, as well as the script.

I'm sorry, but this show was absolutely atrocious. Let's all just face facts.
This is nothing against the students who worked hard on this. They did the very best they could with the material they were given-- the horrendous writing and directing. But everything about this show simply does not work, on any fundamental level.
Please, RMPBS, please greenlight more student productions and television shows, but be more discerning of what you choose to produce.
I promise you THIS is NOT everything we're capable of.

The Rocky Mountains have a highland climate. The average annual temperature in the valley bottoms of the Colorado Rockies near the latitude of Boulder is 43 °F (6 °C). July is the hottest month there with an average temperature of 82 °F (28 °C). In January, the average monthly temperature is 7 °F (−14 °C), making it the region's coldest month. The average precipitation per year there is approximately 14 inches (360 mm). Meanwhile, due to a economic crisis, recession had been a big issue. A recession is awful, but a disaster is worse. Disaster, be it natural or man made, is a fascinating topic.

Some people play roles, but those who are actually in the business of overcoming the world can teach you some lessons, eventually.
Those who see the end from the beginning are actually the directors and producers of this life as we know it. Of whom do I speak? I speak of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.
Thank you Jesus! Anyways, God Knows, not necessarily the local parishioners.
