This was the best unofficial event surrounding the DNC. i received free tickets from PBS and had a great time. I took my parents and they were so thrilled.

An enjoyable hour but it was too short, wasn't it. When Ms Ifill takes her program on the road, the many fans of Washington Week who take the time to find the place, master the parking, and acquire the permit might be disposed to sit a bit longer. You have my permission to pass this on to her.

One of the guys at the table, Mar 27, mispronounced machination, which is pronounced makination. I noticed Gloria Borger did the same thing a few weeks ago. This is far from some of the worst things making the rounds in pronouncation, grammar and various solecisms that can sound like a piece of chalk screeching its way across the whiteboard. The worst at present is mistaking subject and object forms of the nouns "I" and "me", as in "This is what happened to Mary and I", which is equivalent to saying "This is what happened to I". Me hope the media will eventually get this problem cleared up. My candidate for the second worst solecism would be the ubiquitous "different than", as opposed for the correct "different from."
