"Carrier" is a character-driven, edge-of-your-seat, nonfiction drama and a once-in-a-lifetime total immersion in the high-stakes world of a nuclear aircraft carrier. "Carrier" follows a core group of film participants aboard the USS Nimitz, from the admiral of the strike group to the fighter pilots to the youngest sailors, as they navigate personal conflicts around their jobs, families, faith, patriotism, love, the rites of passage and the war on terror.
"Carrier" premieres Sunday, April 27 at 9 p.m. The series continues over the next four night Monday, April 28 through Thursday, May 1 at 8 p.m.

I so am looking forward to this program. My son is on the Nimitz and so for me, it is a chance to see what life is truly like as I would have no other way of ever knowing. I am looking forward to seeing the series.

I have never seen such slanted reporting as I have with "Carrier". You have an agenda...and I resent what you are trying to do. You pick out the individuals you need to try and back up your story...I guess your next presentation will be "global warming". I am 81 years old and a Navy Veteran from WWII. and to Mrs. Cheryl Robison...What you will see is NOT "what life is truly like". I guarantee it.
It is the "socialists" that want you to believe that. There are over 2500 navy personnel on board and they use only 15 to 20 of them and use their comments to fit their story. I could probably write a book about what "they" are trying to do...this is just the beginning.

I almoat forgot...my son is a Navy vet....and my grandson is in the Navy....he is a machinist mate 3rd class and he is on the USS George Wshington...a Carrier. He loves his job and and he is a graduate..and he did not come from a "poor" family.

Years ago, not sure how many exactly, when i was married to my
first husbans, we were stationed in
Long Beach, California, he was on the
USS New Jersey, a battleship. I thought she was a big ship, that is until myself, my friend Glenda and our husbands were invited onto the USS Nimitz. To be standing on the deck of an aircraft carrier where planes take off was totally amazing and out of this world. I was impressed, amazed and icredibably proud, and i still am to this day. I am
so looking forward to watching this documentary, i told my boyfriend about it and i also showed him photos and then i told him that i have personally stood on the flight deck, and unless you have had the privillage of actually being on that ships deck you would not understand the feeling that comes over you. I just want to add for any Navy personnel that may read this, thank you for what you do, thank you for putting your lives on the line for all of us back home, keep up the great job you do, be safe, take care, and God bless each and every one of you. You are loved and missed by not only your loved ones but by everyone.

A carrier is a machine who's sole purpose and end product is to intimidate and kill people. Whatever the reasons are and however you dress it , still it does nothing else, it actually does only that. . The crew, servants of this tool to the US government's foreign policy who contribute an enourmous amount of channelled intelligence and self serving courage to be the best murderers and accessories to murders they can be, while staying as far away to their victims as they can. Their life story is of insignificant importance compared to their deads. The show does not even look at what the machine produces. No dead bodies of the men, women and child killed, disfigured , dismembered and crippled by its guided bombs, bullets ect..Show uncensored images of only a % of the victims of that particular carrier, as they were mained and splashed and you will have contributed to peace in this world. It would require personel courage, not much of the real stuff on your carrier or your team!! A Carrier is an incredibly impressive and spectacular machete. But sadly just that, one more, overused machete.
