Is there a special process if one wishes to bring furniture? Could someone send me info about that, or do we get more info if we are incredibly lucky and get picked? My New England rocker is hand carved, very old. Beautiful.

When you come to Houston will you be doing any evaluations of pottery ?
Linda
Friday, March 20, 2009 › 3:37pm
The Antiques Roadshow will not be travelling to Houston this year. Go to their website at www.pbs.org/antiques; enter Pottery & Porcelain in Category and Houston in City to see evaluations there in 2006.

I have spent many hundreds of dollars on the auctions that you have to support the station. I understand trhoug the grapevine that the tickets for the Denver Antiques Roadshow are getting given out before the drawing to get them. I hope that the Denver show allows the availibility of tickets not to the the Elite but to be fair in the dispersion of the limited tickets. I already know people that were promised tickets, what is going on.. Marilyn Revere mrevere@mscd.edu and msahaarley@aol.com

Hello Marilyn,
The link below will take you to the information about 'Antiques Roadshow' tickets.
http://www.rmpbs.org/panorama/?entry=380
There are 3 options to get tickets for the July event. One option is to pledge $400 or $750 for 2 tickets to attend. Another option is to submit your name in the lottery to get 2 free tickets. The last option is to submit your photos of a large furniture piece, if it is selected you will get tickets. The deadline for photo submissions is April 20, 2009. Below is a link to learn more about photo submissions.

I'm pleased to learn there are others who also enjoy the variety, flavors and nutritional benefits of Korean cuisine. My wife and I learned to love it when we lived in Taegu for two years.

We have been in China and just returned to learn about the July 25th event and would like to become a member (or renew our membership) and obtain 2 tickets for the event.
We also would hope to bring a child's oak rolltop desk circa 1900 from Denver, given to us by a friend who enjoyed by a little girl long ago. It would be great to see the value.
How do we go about?
? renewing our membership
? getting two tickets for the July 25th show
? receiving an opportunity to have the 1900's child's desk from early Denver appraised on the show
Thank you for your help.
Tara
Thank you for your help. We look forward to seeing you on July 25th!

Hello Dr. Tara,
You can pledge $400 for two Antiques Roadshow tickets by calling viewer services at 303-892-6666 or 800-274-6666 between 8am-4:30pm Mon-Fri. Your membership will automatically be renewed by making a pledge for the tickets. You should contact Antiques Roadshow directly to ask about arrangements to get your desk appraised. They had a furniture submission deadline of April 20, 2009 so I'm not sure if they are still making arrangements for furniture. You can contact them at http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/roadshow/contactus.html.

Boo-hoo. I didn't win tickets. Oh well, I'll still be a fan and if I find an extra 400 bucks to support non-profit TV, then I guess I'll succumb.
What irks me are folks selling their freely won tickets on online auctions for mega bucks. Most of those are highly organized ticket sellers who flooded entries into the drawing, won, and are selling online just as they always intended. Since I'm a Roadshow fan that really gets my goat - they couldn't care about Roadshow, yet hogged all the tickets. Boy, am I a whiner today or what?!! Off soapbox now.

Please let me know how to have some finely carved Victorian Renaissance Revival style 3 piece dining set 1860 (side board, server, and oversized glass curio cabinet). There are 10 sculpted atlantes pilaster suppots with varying costumes, faces, wigs etc. They have been appraised by a local appraiser $50,000 and up. I need to know where to sell these pieces. I would love to see the show. Thank you. Susie
