For fifty years, the Five Points neighborhood of Denver was the most celebrated black business and entertainment mecca in the American West.

Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, and nearly all the other jazz greats of the 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s played, and stayed, on ‘The Points’.

Jazz in Five Points celebrates the heritage and the history of Denver’s African American community. Local and legendary musicians, singers, dancers, and neighborhood historians share their stories of life and living during the Jazz Age.
