Homework Hotline is a call-in program on KTSC Channel 8 in Pueblo, which airs live each weekday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. during the school year, September through May.
Homework Hotline is designed to help students with their math and science homework.
In addition to tackling homework problems, each day Homework Hotline introduces a "Secret Word" for young viewers to guess, based on a clue given on the air. There's also a "Brain Teaser" game which offers a clue a day until the answer is revealed on Fridays. Participants who win in these daily and weekly competitions earn special prizes.
Homework Hotline is produced by Rocky Mountain PBS, with KTSC staff members leading a team of local college or high school students who are studying television production.

From our captivating adult programs like NOVA and Nature to our children’s programming lineup that features STEM learning opportunities to our local productions and events, we inspire curiosity, understanding and appreciation for STEM in our audiences.
This year, we are proud to announce an inaugural STEM challenge, which will engender a deeper understanding among middle school-aged youth in Southern Colorado about how much fun STEM can be, and how important STEM disciplines are to the world.

Ultimately, we seek to engender a deeper understanding and appreciation of STEM application and careers among middle-school youth in the Southern Colorado region. Specifically, we hope to:
- Design and deploy a challenge that is simultaneously interesting and practical for middle-school teams.
- Provide supplemental learning opportunities through our local program, Homework Hotline.
- Recruit volunteers to provide phone support
- Facilitate participation in the challenge through targeted outreach, helpful toolkits and strategic use of multiple platforms.
