Join Rocky Mountain PBS for the biggest free block party of the year! Now in its 9th year, Rocky Mountain PBS KIDS Fun Fest draws thousands of kids and families to the street, to the parking lot and to the Denver studios for a magical day of FREE family fun!
On September 6, 2014, Rocky Mountain PBS will present the 9th Annual Rocky Mountain KIDS Fun Fest from 10 am-2 pm at the Denver RMPBS station, 1089 Bannock Street.
It’s a block party full of fun activities free to all. It’s the Rocky Mountain PBS salute to families and children. Ideal for kids preschool age through sixth grade. PBS characters such as Clifford the Big Red Dog, Word Girl and Sid the Science Kid will entertain their young (and old) fans. Entertainment from the stage includes performances by outstanding local talent guaranteed to get everyone moving. Healthy refreshments will be offered and kids will enjoy moving around to different activity areas – learning, exploring and just having some plain old fun. It’s the perfect outing for families in a safe and entertaining setting.
Booth activities include cup stacking, jump rope, a little bit of tennis, dance, art activities, story corner, bounce houses and much more. Stage performances include the “Hokey Pokey” with Clifford the Big Red Dog; The Land of Smiles from Delta Dental; Karate Demonstration by the Okinawa Karate Dojo; and a special performance by the Colorado Mestizo Dancers! Everyone will be moving so join in the fun!
We ask that our Fun Fest attendees bring a gently used children’s book for Reach Out & Read.
For 58 years, education and serving Colorado’s families has been core to our mission. For the 9th year in a row, PBS has been voted #1 in public trust – and we take our role in the community seriously. Thank you for watching and supporting Rocky Mountain PBS. We’ll see you at KIDS Fun Fest!
