Grand Canyon Rafting Adventure

Image - GrandCanyon-290x165.jpgThis year we are offering upper Canyon, lower Canyon, or full Canyon trip lengths! Experience the Grand Canyon from a whole new perspective with historian Dr. Andrew Gulliford. This popular river adventure offers two types of boats to experience the Canyon: You can choose to float along on an oar boat while the guide does the work, or take on the rapids with five other paddlers!

Upper Canyon
July 19-24, 2013 – An 89 mile stretch from Lee's Ferry to the Bright Angel Trail. This trip begins in Flagstaff and ends with a 7.5 mile hike up the Bright Angel Trail ending up at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. $1,985 per person.*

Lower Canyon
July 24-August 1 2013 – A 137 mile segment from the base of the Bright Angel Trail to the take out at Diamond Creek. Involves hike into the Canyon on the Bright Angel Trail, and the trip ends in Flagstaff. $2,760 per person.*

Full Canyon
July 19-August 1 2013 – The ultimate Grand Canyon Experience: Raft the entire 226 mile stretch from Lee's Ferry to Diamond Creek. No hike into our out of Canyon required, and the trip begins and ends in Flagstaff. $3,599 per person.*

*Costs include all meals, camping equipment, and depending on the trip option, transportation between the Grand Canyon and Flagstaff.

Arizona Rafting Adventures (AzRA) will donate a portion of each participant's trip to Rocky Mountain PBS, as well as for any referrals they get from Rocky Mountain PBS. So if these dates don't, but a guest books another date with AzRA, Rocky Mountain PBS will still receive a donation!

Dr. Andrew Gulliford, professor of Southwest studies at Fort Lewis College, will be a special guest on this Rocky Mountain PBS-sponsored trip. He will share stories and the history of the canyons throughout this four-day adventure.
