Shooting the War
This program profiles two photographers and their unvarnished images of the war in Iraq and its tragic consequences on the home front. A hallmark of investigative journalism is obtaining information that people in power have an interest in keeping hidden. The work of Kael Alford, who photographed the victims of war in Iraq, and Paul Fusco, who is photographing the consequences of war at home, is investigative journalism in pictures. This program chronicles their efforts to bring a more complete and uncensored portrait of the ravages of war on both sides.
