Scout is preparing a class assignment on night and day. When Ripple announces a distant solar panel is malfunctioning, Jim, Ted and Scout go out to fix it. When Scout leaves Rippleâ??s new oil injector inside the panels, Ted climbs in to retrieve it â?? just as the sun is going down. The panels close like the petals on a flower, imprisoning Ted. It looks like heâ??ll be trapped until first light the next day â?? until Scout remembers her lesson about night and day. If itâ??s night in one place on Moonaluna, itâ??s day in another. Itâ??s only late afternoon at the base. They fly back with the solar panel, and the â??petalsâ?Ì open in the sunlight there, freeing Ted.
