Episode #2006
In Rio de Janeiro, we visit the beautiful Copacabana Beach, and then the favelas, or slums of Rio, the largest of which ironically occupies some of the most prime real estate in the world. In one of Rioâ??s poorest areas, we meet an artist whose life work is tiling a stairway with gold. We scale those heights as a prelude to the tram ride up Sugarloaf Mountain, and a spectacular view of an amazing city. Deep in the American south lies Nashvilleâ??Music City USA. Like hundreds of thousands of others before us, we make the pilgrimage to Ryman Auditorium, home to the Grand 01â?? Opry radio show, and stand on the spot where country music legend Hank Williams did six encores.
