Blame Somebody Else
This program details how Halliburton KBR used tax dollars to tap an international human trafficking network that led to brutal deaths of foreign workers in Iraq. In the summer of 2004, Cam Simpson, an investigative reporter for the Chicago Tribune, heard a report on the evening news about 12 Nepalese men brutally executed by an extremist Islamic group in Iraq for cooperating with the U.S. Familiar with the military's increasing privatization of support operations -- as well as the Middle East's human trafficking problems -- Simpson knew he had a bigger story. "Blame Somebody Else" reveals how Simpson and other intrepid Chicago Tribune reporters exposed this complex international human trafficking network.
