TV Program: Passport to Adventure: The Mystery of the Maya, Guatemala

This episode presents a fresh and exciting look at the ancient Mayan culture. Tracing the history of the Maya takes Mark & Julie to Tikal, where the Mayan culture thrived over a millennium ago, then mysteriously disappeared. They explore the surrounding jungle by day and by night, and ascend one of Tikal's majestic temples to witness sunrise over the mystical jungle landscape. In the Altiplano region, Mark & Julie hook up with some local expatriates to descend a volcano on mountain bikes, and meet a family who creates fabric for world export on an ancient treadle loom.
