The Jungles and Rivers of Costa Rica
Costa Rica receives up to 300 inches of rainfall annually, creating lush jungles and raging rivers renowned for white water rafting and kayaking. Mark & Julie descend the infamous Rio Pacuare in rafts, then hook up with Olympic kayakers as they practice slalom racing. They explore the jungle canopy from a network of suspension bridges 350 feet in the air and take a guided tour of the Manuel Antonio preserve, which offers important lessons in biodiversity and the importance of saving the world's rain forests.
