Simply Ming
Best of Rubs
A rub concocted of herbs and spices can enhance the flavor of meats and seafood, making them stand out at any table. In this compilation episode, Ming creates his Citrus Herbal Tea Rub, a Curry Tea Rub, and a Five Spice Chile Tea Rub. Using delicacies and spices found from around the world to inspire his East Meets West fare, Ming uses the Citrus Herbal Tea Rub to create a tender Seared Tea-Rubbed Chicken Breast with Celery Saut, as well as a Halibut with Orange-Fennel Orzo Salad, and a Tea Rubbed Shrimp Fried Rice. Ming uses his Curry Tea Rub with a unique element: Butterfish accompanied by a Dried Mango Couscous. Ming shows off the versatility of his Five Spice Chile Tea Rub by cooking it with both Sirloin and Salmon, along with a side dish of Lemon Scallion Rice.
