The act of reading isn't complete until a student learns to understand the words on the page. The final episode highlights effective comprehension strategies used across the country to help kids understand – and care about – what they read. It includes an interview with Walter Dean Myers, award-winning children's book author and recipient of three John Newberry Honor Book awards. Frank McCourt, author of the Pulitzer Prize-winning "Angela's Ashes" and a longtime teacher in the New York City schools, hosts from the New York Public Library.
