Mystery of the Taj Mahal
Built by Shah Jahan in 1642 as a memorial to his adored wife Shalimar, the Taj Mahal in Agra is more than just a glorified mausoleum. It is also a very precise visual representation of the Throne of God as described in the Koran. The identity and nationality of the architects are still in question, but by analyzing location, design and calligraphy, U.S. academic Wayne Begley concludes there are deeper messages behind the breathtakingly beautiful tomb.
